Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: August 12, 2026 · Version 4.0

In plain language: Dogoboca provides pet-care and dog-photography services in approved Florida ZIP codes. We use personal information to answer requests, provide those services, deliver dog photos, run accounts, take payment and keep the service secure. We do not sell personal information. Public galleries show dogs, not their owners, and never display an owner’s email, phone number or home address.

1. Scope and who we are

This Policy applies to the Dogoboca website, customer account, booking and contact forms, free park photography program, photo archive, job-application form and related communications. It does not govern a third-party site that you choose to visit through an external link.

Dogoboca (“Dogoboca,” “we,” “us”) is the business responsible for the information described here. In-person pet-care bookings and dog-photo sessions are performed only in the approved Florida service ZIP codes or locations shown on the site. People elsewhere may view the public website, create or use an account, contact us, and claim or download an eligible dog photo, but we do not market or perform in-person services outside the United States.

2. Information we collect

CategoryExamplesSource
Contact and account Name, email, phone, account identifier, mailing or service address and ZIP code You; a person authorized to act for you; our staff
Pet and care Pet name, species, breed, age, care routine, behavior, medication, veterinary contact and emergency instructions You; our sitters while providing a service
Booking and property access Service, date, price, visit notes, access instructions, gate or lockbox code, assigned sitter and service report You; our staff; the service itself
Walk and visit location Location points — coordinates, an accuracy figure and a time — recorded in stretches, plus the route drawing built from them. Recording is never continuous: it exists only between “Start walk” and “Finish walk” inside an active visit, and it stops on its own whenever the phone screen goes dark, the app is switched away or the signal drops. The assigned worker’s own device, only while that worker has switched recording on for that visit
Payment and transaction Stripe customer/payment token, card brand, last four digits, billing ZIP, charges, credits, refunds and invoices You and Stripe. Dogoboca does not receive or store the full card number or security code.
Dog photography Dog images, dog name and descriptive details, session date, park, gallery activity, claims and downloads Our photographers; you when you identify or claim your dog
Communications and preferences Messages, support requests, form entries, consent choices, notification settings and unsubscribe status You; our communication providers
Technical and security IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser/device type, session and security events, pages requested and cookie choices Your browser/device; hosting and security providers
Job applicants Contact details, service area, experience, availability, eligibility answers and portfolio link You and references you authorize

Route recording is limited to the booked service on the assigned worker’s own device, and it is voluntary for that worker: declining changes nothing about the visit, the pay or the report. It is not continuous, not shown to anyone in real time, and not tracking of the client’s phone or of the pet, and a browser cannot record location in the background on any platform. Because of that, the recorded route is a set of fragments with visible gaps, and any distance we state is a lower bound, never a measurement. A recorded route shows that a device reported moving along a path; it does not prove who or what was with it.

Please do not put Social Security numbers, full payment-card details, human medical information or other unnecessary sensitive information in free-text fields. If you give us information about another person, you represent that you are permitted to do so.

3. How we use information

  • answer an inquiry and determine whether an address is in our service area;
  • create and secure an account, verify sign-in and maintain preferences;
  • quote, schedule, provide, document, charge for and support pet-care services;
  • draw the parts of the route that were recorded, confirm service completion, address safety issues and resolve a route dispute;
  • protect pets, clients, staff, property and the service, including emergency veterinary coordination;
  • run free dog-photo sessions, match dogs to owners, deliver files and manage the archive;
  • send service messages and, only where permitted and selected, marketing messages;
  • detect abuse, prevent fraud, debug, maintain records and enforce our Terms;
  • comply with tax, accounting, insurance, legal and safety obligations; and
  • review job applications. If a consumer report or background check is later requested, we will first provide any separate disclosure and authorization required by law; submitting the web form alone is not that authorization.

We use consent where the law requires it, including before optional cookies are activated. For the ordinary Florida service relationship, most processing is needed to respond to your request, perform our agreement, keep the service safe or meet a legal obligation.

4. Dog photography and public galleries

Our photographers intentionally photograph dogs only. We do not intentionally photograph or publish recognizable people. A frame containing a recognizable person is not eligible for the public archive and is cropped, withheld or deleted during review.

A dog-only public-park image may be selected for the session gallery or Dogoboca archive even when no handler is identified and no contact information is collected. If a photographer invites an owner or handler to pose or present a dog, or asks for an email to deliver a gallery, the photographer gives a brief courtesy notice and the person may decline. Dog-only portraits made after that notice may also appear in ordinary Dogoboca social posts. The public version may show the dog’s name, breed or color and the park/session, but not owner contact information, a home address, precise GPS coordinates or embedded camera-location data. More detail appears in our Dog Photography & Gallery Policy.

5. How we disclose information

We disclose only what is reasonably needed to these categories of recipients:

  • Assigned sitters, photographers and authorized staff for the booking or session they are handling;
  • The booking client for the service report and the route drawing associated with that client’s visit — the drawing only, never the underlying points, accuracy figures, device details or addresses;
  • Service providers for hosting, private/public image storage, email delivery, scheduling, customer support, security, fraud prevention and backups;
  • Stripe for card setup, payment processing and related fraud controls;
  • Veterinarians and emergency services when reasonably needed to protect an animal or person;
  • The public only for the limited dog-photo and session information described above, never owner contact or access information;
  • Professional advisers, insurers, authorities or litigants where reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend rights, investigate an incident or comply with law; and
  • A successor in a business transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and notice where required.

We do not sell personal information for money or other valuable consideration. We do not disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing, and we do not currently share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Mobile phone numbers and text-messaging opt-in consent are never sold and never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Texting terms live on the SMS Terms page.

6. Cookies and online tracking

Necessary cookies support sign-in, security, form protection and your privacy choice. Analytics and marketing categories remain off unless you choose them. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent booking, account access or photo delivery. See the Cookie Policy and use to change your choice.

California online-tracking disclosure: Dogoboca does not currently collect browsing activity over time across unrelated websites for targeted advertising. Because there is no such sale, sharing or cross-site targeted advertising to opt out of, browser Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals do not change our present processing. Optional cookies remain controlled through Cookie settings. If our practices change, we will update this disclosure and honor legally required opt-out signals. When you open a Stripe payment feature, Stripe may collect device identifiers, interaction data and cookies across sites that use Stripe for fraud prevention, authentication, Link and payment product analytics; Dogoboca does not permit that data to be used for our targeted advertising. Cloudflare may collect device and challenge data when its security feature is enabled. See the Cookie Policy and those providers’ policies for their processing.

7. Email, calls and texts

We may send messages needed to answer a request, authenticate an account, deliver a gallery, manage a booking or respond to a safety issue. You may separately choose promotional email and can unsubscribe through any promotional message or account settings. We maintain a suppression record so that an address is not accidentally re-added.

Providing a phone number allows ordinary person-to-person service calls or texts about your request. It is not consent to automated telemarketing. We will obtain separate prior express written consent, with the disclosures required by law, before sending automated or prerecorded marketing calls or texts; that consent is not a condition of purchase.

8. Retention

We keep information only while reasonably needed for the purpose described, then delete, de-identify or securely isolate it, subject to legal holds and backup cycles. The usual criteria are:

RecordUsual period or criterion
Unconverted inquiriesWhile the request is active and for a reasonable follow-up, fraud-prevention and dispute period; then reviewed for deletion or de-identification
Account and pet profileWhile active and for a reasonable wind-down period; transaction records may remain separately
Access instructions and codesWhile they remain in your active profile and in the booking snapshot; unless manually redacted sooner, that snapshot may remain with the booking record for the period below. Use a temporary or rotating code where possible and replace it after service.
Bookings, payments, credits, service reports and route drawingsGenerally seven years, or longer for an unresolved claim or legal hold
Raw location points behind a route drawing90 days, or until an open dispute about that visit is resolved, whichever is later; then deleted. The drawing keeps its own period above. A worker may ask us to delete the raw points for their own visits once the visit is closed and any dispute is over.
Dog-photo originals and selected dog-only archive imagesFor delivery and the continuing creative archive, until removed under the Photo Policy or no longer useful
Owner/account link, claims, downloads and attendee contact detailsWhile needed for delivery, account/gallery support, fraud prevention and a reasonable dispute period; then delete or de-identify the owner link unless another record-retention need applies
Unselected or unusable photo filesDeleted during the editing and quality-control cycle
Job applicationsGenerally up to three years, unless hired or a longer period is required
Consent, acceptance and opt-out recordsAs long as reasonably needed to honor the choice and demonstrate compliance
Security and server logsAccording to a rolling security schedule, generally no longer than reasonably needed to investigate incidents

9. Your choices and privacy requests

Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to provide a copy of the personal information reasonably linked to you, correct it, delete information we no longer need, close an account, stop marketing, or remove a dog image under the Photo Policy. Email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.”

Describe the request and include the email used with Dogoboca and, for a photo, its link or screenshot. We may verify control of the email/account or ask for information needed to locate the record. We will not request more identity data than reasonably necessary. An authorized agent may submit a request, but we may verify the agent’s authority and your identity. We aim to respond within 30 days and will explain if more time or a lawful exception is needed. We may retain tax, payment, safety, fraud, suppression, legal-hold and dispute records even after an account or other data is deleted.

10. U.S. state notices

Some state privacy statutes apply only after a business reaches revenue, data-volume or business-model thresholds. If a law applies to your request, Dogoboca will provide the access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out, appeal and nondiscrimination rights that law requires. The voluntary request process above is available even when a threshold-based statute does not apply.

For California’s Online Privacy Protection Act, the categories collected, recipient categories, request process, change process, effective date and online-tracking disclosure are all stated in this Policy. We do not disclose customer personal information to third parties for those third parties’ own direct-marketing purposes.

11. Visitors outside the United States

Dogoboca is operated in the United States and the service is designed for approved Florida ZIP codes, not directed to people outside the United States. Information submitted through the site is processed in the United States, where privacy rules may differ from those in your location. Site availability does not mean we offer services in another country. If a law outside the United States nevertheless applies to a particular interaction, we will address the request as that law requires.

12. Security and incidents

We use safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information, including TLS in transit, access controls, private storage for photo originals, payment tokenization through Stripe, logging and limited staff access. No system is guaranteed secure. If an incident creates a legally reportable risk, we will investigate, preserve required records and provide notices within the time and manner required by applicable law, including Florida law.

13. Children

Accounts, bookings, forms and photo claims are for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13. Dogoboca sessions intentionally photograph dogs, not people. If you believe a child submitted personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy as the service or law changes. The date and version above identify the current edition. Material changes will be posted conspicuously here and, where required, communicated directly or presented for a new choice before they take effect.
